The library offers the following regular programming for children:

1,000 Books before Kindergarten : Parents can sign their children from birth through Kindergarten up for a statewide initiative that encourages parents to read 1,000 books with their children before they reach Kindergarten. Studies have shown that reading with your child helps prepare them for formal learning environments, and you will create family fun! Come to the library to sign up, receive free books and invitations to events.

Pre-School Story Hour
Join Mrs. Dunigan on Thursday mornings at 10:00 am for story hour. Enjoy stories, activities and a snack for children. Story hour includes social time for mothers and their children to engage in reading, songs, games and crafts.

Adventure Club

Children in kindergarten through 3rd grade meet on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm to explore books, reading, crafts, Lego, and crafts.  Join any time and attend when you can.

Creating Adventures Club 

Children in 3rd thru 6th grade meet on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm. Come and explore building  with Lego, making  your own robots, creating stop motion movies, and much more!  Activities are multi-week themes, join any time and attend when you can.




Speaking Stories for the Web have published their stories, poems, and illustrations for your reading pleasure!
