During the first week of April the library will display the sculpture created by Pittsfield Elementary School students during their recent artist in residence program.  Please come by the library to see this creative and beautiful sculpture.

At 11:00 am on Wednesday April 3rd the library will begin to host a weekly gathering of home school families and students.  In the coming weeks the group will make plans to coordinate project presentations, share resources and explore the library.

The next gathering of the Chichester-Epsom-Pittsfield Libraries Memory Café will enjoy a concert by guitarist Jim Pero at 2:00pm on Monday April 8th at the Epsom Public Library.  Local caregivers and folks living with memory loss can come and relax in a supportive environment while enjoying refreshments and activities.

Families are invited to come to the library at 11:00 am on Friday April 19th to create decorations for Easter.  There will be a variety of activities and crafts including creating Easter bonnets and hats for the Parks and Recreation Easter egg hunt and parade to be held at Drake Field on Saturday the 20th.

Babies, preschoolers and families will explore animals from Africa and Easter Story Hour for on Thursday at 10:00 am.  The Adventures Club (kindergarten thru 3rd grade) that meets on Tuesday at 3:30 pm will finish writing stories and creating books.  The young authors will read their stories at 5:30 pm on April 9th.  During the second half of April, the Adventures Club will celebrate spring. Creating Adventures (3rd thru 6th grade) which meets Wednesday afternoons at 2:00 pm will continue having building fun and then celebrate spring.

The Book Worms will gather at 6:30pm on Tuesday April 9th to discuss Kiss of Deception by Mary E Pearson.   The Pittsfield Writer’s Circle will meet at 6:30pm on Tuesday April 23rd, bring your writing to share and hone with this dedicated group of writers.   The adult book club will meet at 10:30 am on Tuesday April 23rd at the Pittsfield Senior Center to discuss The Radium Girls: The Dark Story of America’s Shining Women by Kate Moore.  Anyone who would like to join the book discussions can pick up the books at the library; come meet new people and savor interesting conversation.
